SILVER RIVER 

The Eco-Tour:  1/2 Day Tour

 

Our Most Famous Tour on a Very Famous River.  A paddle on the Silver River features some of Florida's most beautiful scenery and diverse wildlife.  Cruise along the translucent blue waters into the heart of Florida as our Naturalist Guides will help you spot many species of turtles, water fowl, fish, alligators and even monkeys that thrive here in this pristine habitat.  Learn about the rich history of the native indians, early pioneers, and even how Hollywood had it's impact on this environment. The subtropical landscape surrounds you with Palm Trees, Magnolias, and 2000 yr. old Cypress.

Skill Level: Intermediate (some experience recommended)

Physical Level:  3   (1=easy, 5=extreme)

All trips include:  Guide Service, Instruction, Boat, Paddle, PFD (life jacket), Dry Bag, Coolers, Snacks and FUN

 
Florida conditions can be extreme, so it is important to be prepared to get the best enjoyment from your trip.  Our guides are very familiar with the paddling environment. Please feel free to ask any questions you would like in order to understand all you need to be confident about your trip. Please understand, we will not paddle in unsafe conditions including high winds and thunderstorms.


What to wear….

Clothes you don’t mind getting a little wet.
Warm weather… Swim suit/board shorts & T-Shirt.
Cool weather… the same with nylon cover-ups ( Avoid cotton if possible).
Shoes – preferably full sandals that can be worn in the water. 
Hat & sunglasses are great.

SUNSCREEN – very important!                                              


What to Bring…

Bag Lunch, bottled water, Snacks.
Rain Gear (Rain Jacket or Poncho)

Camera & Dry bag (optional) These can get wet so a dry bag is important. 
Bring an extra change of clothes just in case…
Towel
Any special personal paddling gear if you like. (Binoculars, etc.)
Please lock valuables in your trunk ( never had a problem but this is more safe)!
